We Have Windows!

Last week they put in windows at our house, together with the Rainbuster 420 Waterproofing Flashing all around them.  Since this is our first home construction experience, we are learning so much about each process of the construction.

We finally have a front door!  I just wish they would keep it in this white color, but with the elevation that we selected the door will be painted in a dark brown color.

The sliding doors in the kitchen are ready to be installed next… they will lead us to the backyard.

I wrote a few more Bible verses on the wood beams… the one on the left was for our dining room – “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. ~Hebrews 13:2”

The one on the right is for our walk-in closets – “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, and humility, gentleness and patience. ~Colossians 3:12”

Wrote this one for our study – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if working for the Lord, not for the human masters. ~Colossians 3:23”

Love the large windows on both sides of our Great Room.  I am thinking instead of curtains/drapes, I want to put sliding barn door shutters on them!

The 3 windows at the upstairs loft, also thinking of using sliding barn door shutters for these as well.

We opted for the frosted glass obscure window (as opposed to the regular clear glass) right above the bathtub, so we have a little more privacy.  May still need to put a shade over it for the evening.
