This is going to be our new house lot! Since we put down the deposit, everyone has been asking us if we got to choose our lot and where our house is going to be located. The only 2 things we could choose were the floor plan and the elevation (the exterior architecture of the house), everything else including the exterior house colors, roof materials, and lot locations was based on the builder’s decision.
Just like the floor plans, the builder offers 3 elevations to choose from and of course, the one I ended up choosing actually costs the most, but I love everything about it – the columns, the stones, the gable roofs… are all features of a Craftsman farmhouse which is the style we are going for. The photo on the right is what our house will eventually look like when it’s complete! Since we can’t afford to convert a real life barn into a house, I am going to bring all the barn elements into this new house instead and I am excited! Stay tuned…
